The distance between his banana plantation and the market is about 1000 kilometer. So he decided to take his camel to carry the bananas. Math Fun Days are a weekly event we're holding to get math teachers talking, problem solving and having fun together. Participants gather in Google hangouts and work together to solve compelling problems or play math games that they can then bring to students in their classrooms. If you want to participate or have a great problem for us to solve, tweet @ one of the moderators in the sidebar.

Math Fun Day 1 Problem #1: A Penny a day...
Problem #1: You get one penny per day for life. After how many years will your money have the most value, considering inflation is roughly 2.5%?
Bonus: If you saved the pennies up for 100 years what would the value of your money be?
Pretty sad right? Enjoy your lunch. Pennies are pretty much the worst.
